My favorite part of the creative process is conceptualizing - letting my mind mine for gold. Waiting for that moment of inspiration. You will find these jewels and gems throughout your life encompassing a variety of emotions. Joy, sadness, regret, hopelessness, fear, love and many more, but I tend to find it's often within the deep dark blues that I truly find my muse.

Fun fact: my last real job before becoming an artist was as an installer in a college museum department - repainting gallery walls white once a month and hanging other people’s artwork.

This piece, one of my first, poses a question through a handful of rotten, worm-infested apples: half-sarcastic, half-genuine, a humble ask to the art critics of the world - do you like them apples? Oh, I so hope you do.

“Say less” the modern version of “say no more,” “enough said” - but flipped back to its literal meaning. Don’t talk about it, be about it. As I step outside my comfort zone to chase ambitious new projects and styles, this piece forced me to practice exactly what the title preaches. Head down, blinders on. Fragments of anatomy, sharp lines, and multiple heads cut through the subject, capturing the kinetic noise of a wandering mind pulling me in every direction. This piece is about determination - the will to say more than most without saying a word, and the strength to break through the walls I once accepted as my only option, until I decided to create and claim my own truth.

Acrylic on canvas 3‘ x 4‘ white floating frame

“I’m a bird, I’m a plane, I’m mentally insane” explodes like a fever dream against a clear blue sky. Figures, animals, and text emerge from clouds that double as both image and thought. Superman and a lion streak through the air beside a winged jet marked “Super.” Balloons float by, a boy sits atop skateboard made of clouds as others spell out the words of a mind unraveling.

The humor is immediate, but the weight lingers. I layer irony with sincerity, revealing the fragility beneath the bravado. This isn’t parody- it’s prophecy. The work speaks to the cultural moment of overstimulation, where fantasy and distress coexist in constant negotiation. I paint the psychology of a world that laughs through its own collapse and searches for hope in the absurd.

Being an artist isn’t always easy.. but if you’re in it for the right reasons, no matter what comes your way or how discouraged you get, you never forget to smile through it. Even if you have to remind yourself sometimes or in more dire moments, just duct-tape a banana to your face and replace your frown with a smile. Trust me it works. I’ve tried it!

Take a ride with me on an old New York City subway line. before it’s gone forever and replaced with something shiny and new! Without a hint of color or a glimpse of character. Seen through the warped, distorted lens of my mind’s eye, shaped and sometimes skewed by the content I consumed growing up, this piece pays homage to an older New York that’s now barely recognizable - an invitation to step back in time and revisit the city’s grit, charm, and ever-changing identity.

Another wild summer full of ups and downs, but every moment was worth it. I’ve always found humor to be the best way through the bumps in the road and even better when shared with friends. This series of three postcards seemingly tells a dark tale, but within each title lies an inside joke that only a select few will get. And to me, that’s hilarious.

This acrylic painting unleashes a frenzy of madness meant to provoke a visceral reaction. Chaotic yet captivating, it dives into my own anxiety, self-doubt, and the unraveling of a restless mind. The rats - both literal and metaphorical - embody the turmoil within, symbols of my inner chaos and the gnawing persistence of doubt.

“Shake It Off” reflects the tension I feel between limitless imagination and the confines of my own physical self. This piece captures my visceral urge to break free - from my mind’s own spirals, from the body that holds it, and from the invisible walls I build within. It’s about the struggle of feeling trapped inside myself, and the desperate, often chaotic desire to escape and transcend.
